Air India express flight (IX-1344) from DXB to CCJ overshot from the table-top runway at Kozhikode airport in kerala. This happened at around 7.41 PM last evening

This flight carries 190 passengers.Out of 190 passengers,174 are adults,10 infants,4 cabin crew and 2 pilots .The flight was operated as a part of vande Bharat mission .
As of now nearly 18 were dead including the 2 pilots.
Deepak Vasnth sathe who was the pilot of IX 1344.DV Sathe was former test pilot of IAF .he was a well experienced aerial operator and Sword of honour recipient. And Co-pilot Akilesh Kumar was a wing commander in IAF.

A team of NDRF has been deployed at crash site. This team comprises of 50 personnel.
As we mourn the victim.Its now time to look at the cause which we payed nearly 17 .
Actually a warning was issued by Captain Mohan ranganathan a member of a safety advisory committee formed by the ministry of civil aviation in 2011.
What he suggested the airport authority is that the runway should have given 240 meters buffer at the end . But the buffer in runway of 90 meters buffer.The topography of the runway is not accessible during rainy conditions.
